Dr. Kelly Francis specializes in general and bariatric surgery. She is affiliated with multiple area hospitals and currently serves as Chief of the Department of Surgery at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley.
Dr. Francis obtained her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine before completing her fellowship and surgical residency at Tulane University Department of Surgery. She went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
Dr. Francis is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, where she also serves as a Mentor for Young Women in Surgery.
Advanced laparoscopic surgical experience held by Dr. Francis includes: hernia repair, gastronomy, laparoscopic gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric banding, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and laparoscopic Roux-en-Y for minimally invasive Whipple pancreatic duodenctomy.
